Event information

A day to remember and help a great cause!

Date: 23rd June 2013

Location: Marble Hill House, Twickenham

Silver Cross Pramathon 2013 is a festival of family fun that your little ones will love.

Hundreds of families will join us in the beautiful grounds of Marble Hill House to help us raise vital funds while enjoying a thoroughly entertaining and memorable day. We'll be encouraging families to get active with a 5km pram push cheered on by some of your favourite Channel 5 Milkshake! characters and presenters. Remember it’s not a race, it’s a family sponsored walk, and you and your family can enjoy the scenic route at a pace that suits you. The little ones can even join in and push dolly in her pram.

We've got a variety of activities planned to keep everyone entertained and wide eyed! Soak up the atmosphere and spend time with some of TV's best loved characters including Roary The Racing Car and Big Chris, Jelly Jamm, City of Friends, Fifi and Bumble and of course Peppa Pig. Throughout the day, the Channel 5 Milkshake! presenters will be putting on live performances and entertainment.

Whether you are a mum, dad, grandma, grandpa, aunt or uncle you can enjoy watching the kids have a fabulous time. There’s the chance to win a Silver Cross pram and enter your baby in the competition to win a photo shoot and become a face of Silver Cross.

Once you’ve booked your place  you’ll receive an email with your registration number which you must keep safe..  We’ll also keep in touch before the big day reminding you of details for the event, updating you with any exciting news relating to the Pramathon.

Raising funds for a great cause

The serious side of the Silver Cross Pramathon 2013 is to raise in excess of £300,000. Genesis Research Trust was founded in 1985 by Professor Robert Winston to initiate, encourage and provide support for vital medical research and investigation into the causes of a wide range of devastating conditions affecting women and babies. This includes stillbirth, premature birth, miscarriage and brain damage. The charity funds world class scientists and clinicians whose primary aim is to improve the health of women and their unborn babies. We also help fund teaching programmes which are internationally recognised and the work produced has the highest reputation amongst academics and researchers. We are supporting “The Women’s Health Research Centre” which takes the excellent laboratory work performed at Imperial College London from laboratory bench to patient bedside and into the wider community. This work includes studies to identify women at risk of complications in pregnancy. Please help us and together we can make a difference and ensure that less pregnancies end in heartbreak and tragedy.

“Our charity lies at the heart of the most profound of all human wishes: to have a happy and healthy family.”
Professor Robert Winston

We realise that times are tough at the moment and we’ve taken that into consideration when setting the price for the Silver Cross Pramathon. We are hoping that you will raise as much money as possible for this valuable cause. Why not ask those who are sponsoring you if they are willing and eligible to gift aid their donation. This means that the charity will receive a further 25p for every £1 donated. Should you wish to donate personally we would be thrilled and you can do so when booking, or by visiting www.genesisresearchtrust.co.uk Please see our FAQs section for a range of ideas to help you with fundraising. Or feel free to contact us on info@pramathon.co.uk with any questions that you may have.
